A skilled storyteller with a passion for the truth, I have 10 years of professional experience in journalism and communications. My expertise includes crafting news and features articles, media criticism, writing blog posts and first-person essays, interviewing subjects of diverse backgrounds, editing for grammar and content, researching, fact-checking and managing social media.
I am currently a staff analyst and news literacy associate at NewsGuard Technologies, a startup company, where I have reported, written, and edited more than 200 reviews of news and information sites that assess for credibility and transparency, with a focus on conspiracies. I also oversee the creation of a monthly newsletter, with a distribution of more than 3,000, covering misinformation and disinformation.

Working as a reporter at BQE Media in Woodside, N.Y., where I pitched, reported and wrote local news for Queens and Brooklyn publications, including Queens Ledger, Greenpoint Star and This is Queensborough.
Serving an integral role on a three-person team to overhaul the communications department at The Berkeley Carroll School, an independent, prekindergarten through 12th grade institution in Brooklyn, N.Y.
At the University of Rochester, I earned a B.A. in journalism and a minor in anthropology. I also have experience with photography and video work.
Additionally, I traveled solo in South America and Antarctica for five months, from September 2017-February 2018. During my time abroad, I wrote a travelogue series about my trip for CheapOair’s Miles Away blog and Freestyle Adventure Travel, developed an intermediate proficiency in Spanish and worked at a hostel in Cόrdoba, Argentina.
