skilled storyteller with a passion for the truth, I have nine years of professional experience in journalism and communications. My expertise includes crafting news and features articles, writing blog posts and first-person essays, interviewing subjects of diverse backgrounds, editing for grammar and content, researching, fact-checking and managing social media.

I am currently a staff analyst and news literacy associate at NewsGuard Technologies, a startup company where I report, write and edit reviews of news and information sites that assess for credibility and transparency, with a focus on conspiracies.

My previous experience includes:

  • Working as a reporter at BQE Media in Woodside, N.Y., where I pitched, reported and wrote local news for Queens and Brooklyn publications, including Queens Ledger, Greenpoint Star and This is Queensborough.

At the University of Rochester, I earned a B.A. in journalism and a minor in anthropology. I also have experience with photography and video work.

Additionally, I traveled solo in South America and Antarctica for five months, from September 2017-February 2018. During my time abroad, I wrote a travelogue series about my trip for CheapOair’s Miles Away blog and Freestyle Adventure Travel, developed an intermediate proficiency in Spanish and worked at a hostel in Cόrdoba, Argentina.
